Optima Health would like to welcome our new nurse practitioner, Debra Tidquist!
Deb Tidquist grew up in Trempealeau County, WI area. She attended Gale Ettrick Trempealeau High School. She became a CNA at the age of 17 and started working at Grand View Care Center in Blair, WI. After graduation from high school, she attended the Western Wisconsin Technical College for laboratory science and graduated in 1982. Then later returned and completed her nursing degree at Western Wisconsin Technical College in 1991. In 2006 she graduated from Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa with a Bachelor & Masters of Science Degree in Nursing. She worked at Grand View Care Center in Blair, and Tri-County Memorial Hospital in Whitehall. She is board certified in Family and Geriatrics. She has worked in various areas including the clinic, community, long term care, palliative care, corrections, and integrative/functional medicine.
Deb has a passion for a team approach to patient care with people to obtain their best possible health and wellness. She believes in treating the whole person as an individual. She believes in listening to the people that she serves as they know their bodies the best.
Deb lives with her husband and has 3 grown children, 3 grandchildren with 3 on the way, and 1 cat near Independence, WI. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, antiques, camping, traveling, and being in nature. One of her favorite places is Ireland.
